The Maple Road Experience celebrates the story of world champion freestyle skateboarder Kevin Harris and the legendary half pipe on Maple Road that drew skaters from across Canada — and beyond.

An international exhibition by the American Anthropological Association aiming to help people appreciate migration histories — their own and those of others — by drawing on a wealth of case studies from across human history and a breadth of culture.

This exhibit, originally curated with the Richmond Museum, tells the story of Kevin Harris, Canada’s first professional skateboarder. Experience the growth of skateboarding and Kevin’s decorated career through a time capsule of unseen photos and skateboard memorabilia.

Developed by the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre and based on its renowned original exhibition, Age of Influence examines how youth were targeted through propaganda in Nazi Germany inviting reflection on media, influence, and critical thinking through historically grounded content.
