AIMING TO PRESERVE & PROMOTE CULTURE & ART IN THE PNW.

Floreat was born from a vision to bring expert art handling services and accessible cultural experiences to Canada’s West Coast. Trent Rucker, Floreat's owner and operator, previously served as North American Project Manager for the esteemed European art handlers, MuseumsPartner, where he managed the transportation and installation of cultural treasures across borders. Recognizing a gap in art handling services in the Pacific Northwest, Trent partnered with MuseumsPartner CEO Peter Elsaesser to create Floreat—a company dedicated to elevating the region's art logistics and making world-class cultural offerings more accessible.

Peter has built his career in the museum and exhibition industry, producing and touring world-class exhibitions seen by over 5 million visitors worldwide. As the founder of MuseumsPartner, an ICEFAT-certified company, he’s worked with museums, government collections, and cultural institutions across the globe—with a plane ticket in his back pocket, he’s always ready to help the team cross the finish line or to a glass of scotch for a job well done.

Communications

Emi is an award winning designer with a global portfolio spanning North America, Europe, and the Middle East. With a background in industrial design, she brings a unique perspective to museum projects. Her skills in communication design extend to website and brand development, helping Floreat look as good as the art it installs.

Installer

Rob Smith

Rob has a knack for making the impossible look easy. With years of experience setting up museum exhibits across North America and the South Pacific, he’s tackled everything from towering sculptures to delicate suspended pieces—usually with a few straps, a hoist, and a lot of problem-solving. As a skilled electrician and our go-to lighting technician, he also makes sure every piece is shown in its best light (literally).

Installer

Ryan Rickman

Ryan has over 20 years of experience as a carpenter, which means he can solve just about any problem with precision (and probably a little creativity). With experience as a construction foreman he keeps installations running smoothly with clear communication. Whether it’s a perfectly levelled painting or display case, Ryan makes sure every install looks its best.

A trained designer with a sharp eye for detail, he plays a key role in both exhibit design and installation—ensuring that all art and artifacts look their best. With experience in AV setup, Kolby also brings our exhibitions to life by thoughtfully integrating projectors, interactives, and lighting in ways that enhance visitor experience.

Installer

Daniel Mason

Whether coordinating logistics for a multi-part install or finessing the final placement of a delicate sculpture, he brings a sense of quiet confidence that puts clients and colleagues at ease. A curious tinkerer we can rely on him to perfectly integrate our AV and interactive elements into exhibitions.

Turns out, every skill he’s picked up along the way comes in handy on the Floreat team. Whether he's securing a tricky rig or making sure everything ships out smoothly, Seamus brings precision and problem-solving to every install.
